Wrestlers named his group the Shield and announced that they will fight against "injustice" and denied that they were helping CM Punk, however, occasionally attacking his opponents such as Ryback, the Miz, Kane and Daniel Bryan. WWE Royal rumble (2013) during the match the Rock vs. CM Punk for the WWE champion in the hall suddenly the lights went out and Rock was attacked by unknown assailants, resulting in Punk managed to hold it. Despite the fact that the attackers has not been seen, in an attack blamed Shield, and the match of the Rock and Punk was re-initiated[17]. The next day, during RAW the Shield attacked John Cena, who came to the aid of Ryback and sheamus. Later in the show, Vince McMahon stated that he has information that Punk and/or Paul Heyman paid the Shield and brad Maddox for the help[18]. This led to the duel 3 vs 3 Elimination Chamber on PPV[19][20], in which the Shield has won a victory[21]. Later vs. the Shield teamed sheamus and Randy Orton. However, they were not enough and they were soon joined by the big Show. The confrontation culminated in a match at PPV Christian 29. In the match Orton stole a tag at the Show, for which the giant got knocked out Randy, and Randy was withheld. A little later the Shield had expressed a desire to take the team titles Daniel Bryan and Kane
