The Rajputana horse safari offers a unique experience creating memories which last a lifetime. This wonderful safari holiday allows riders to connect with this wonderful country, riding the beautiful Marwari horse. The Marwari is native to Rajasthan and is well suited to the climate and desert terrain. Mawari horses are hardy, intelligent and have great stamina. For the horse enthusiast the safari provides diverse riding along sandy paths, vistas and through stunning landscapes . The routes our safaris take offer an insight to India that is off the tourist trail, we pass through villages where families rush out from their homes to welcome us. We see children playing cricket in the desert landscape, children on their way to and from school. Farmers herding goats, ladies walking through the dusty lanes wearing bright saris. The experience of a horse safari is truly remarkable, sharing precious memories with new found friends. On an average day we cover between 25 and 35 km. We start after breakfast and our horses are all ready for us. We wind our way through the majestic countryside stopping to water our horses at wells, and have a welcome water break ourselves. Lunch is a delight in itself, the food is freshly prepared and delicious, it's time to chat to each other and unwind, there are soft pillows on which to rest always in shade. The dietary requirements of all our guests is paramount and we strive to accommodate all your needs. During our lunch stop the horses are fed, watered and rested from the afternoon sun. The lunch stops are specifically chosen for their natural beauty and feature dams, lakes and river beds. After an appropriate lunch break guests re-join the horses and resume the ride for the afternoon. When the ride finishes for the day, guests find themselves in lovely well chosen accommodation where everyone is made welcome and treated like family members. The horses are stabled and cared for by the back up team consisting of well trained grooms who prioritise the needs of the horses above their own. We have a jeep which follows the safari, any guest that does not wish to ride the whole day, or non riders can travel by jeep and follow on behind.
