Maryam Almaktoom

She demonstrated her dynamic character and competitive spirit at a very early age when she started riding her first horses at the Oxford Nursery School in UK. After her mother’s graduation from the Oxford Aviation College, she relocated to Athens, Greece where she continued her education and training in equestrian sports, before moving to Dubai, UAE in 2009.

shaikha maryam Al Maktoum has a strong passion for horses and equestrian sports, in particular Endurance Races and Show Jumping. She also enjoys Arts (She has created a number of paintings herself) and Fashion and has personally supported the “Arab Women Designers” in Abu Dhabi Fashion Show. Although she is deeply committed to her studies at the American University of Dubai (AUD) and has ambitious plans for further continuing her education, she has an underlying passion for Charity work. She has plans to launch her own Charity Initiative, as she has realized that helping people who are less privileged offers a great satisfaction in her life.
